Daughter's Dying, and He's still Lying

On her daughter Lizzy's birthday, Eleanor receives a video call from Lizzy, who reveals she's locked alone in a car under the scorching sun, near death. Meanwhile, Eleanor's husband Mason is at an amusement park with Selene, his late best friend's widow, and her daughter Dolly. As Eleanor frantically searches for Lizzy, she faces deception and obstruction from those around her. With help from Benjamin, a surgeon and former schoolmate, they find Lizzy unconscious in Selene's car from heatstroke—but it's too late. Lizzy dies. After reading her daughter's diary, Eleanor decides to divorce Mason, ending a marriage built on lies and indifference.
